Overview

This page outlines how to start working with a BenchRack.

Components

A BenchRack is assembled from a reusable runtime environment and a platform-specific target:

  1. Runtime environment (RTE) — provides remote flashing, power control, and serial console.
  2. Target infrastructure — the board and peripherals under test.
  3. Extra services — optional components specific to the platform.

Managing a bench

Remote operations run through benchctl, which talks to the RTE to reflash, power-cycle, and open a serial console on the target without physical access.

Next steps

Detailed build, flashing, and verification guides will be added here as the BenchRack documentation grows.
